The Extrema Ratio Ferrum Rescue is a very compact rescue tool with 3 blades, each of which has a specific function:
The main blade has a thickness of 3 millimeters and is designed for more demanding purposes and to secure the cut - preventing premature wear of the other blades. The teeth make it possible to cut larger ropes or textile materials, while the remaining smooth part takes on the classic function of a knife. The second blade is a scalpel that can be used for extremely precise cuts and for emergency first aid operations.
The third blade on the back of the first is the smallest of the three. It serves as a cord cutter and can cut paracord and aramid material.
The interaction of the main blade with the scalpel allows the operator to make a quick emergency cut to free a potential casualty from their clothing.
Both the thread-cutting blade and the scalpel are interchangeable.
Ferrum Rescue has a thin and compact shape, the two handles made of anodized anti-corodal aluminum form a light, slim and at the same time very resistant handle. The Extrema Ratio rescue knife can be stored in a breast pocket, in small flashlight holsters or in a single MOLLE system loop. There is also a carbide glass breaker on the back.
Equipped with a flipper-assisted opening system, the blade rotates on ball bearings that allow the blade to move smoothly without uncertainty. This mechanism allows the operator to open the blade of the Ferrum Rescue quickly and easily, even with just one hand. The locking system is the tried and tested Liner Lock. The reversible clip is positioned at the back.
